Do I need an internet connection to use the app?

No. ReClaim Miles is designed to be offline-first. Once you download the local state map modules (.gz) to your assets folder, all routes, distances, and PDF reports are generated locally on your machine. Your data never leaves your computer.

Are the generated reports IRS compliant?

Yes. The IRS requires contemporaneous records including the date, destination, business purpose, and mileage for each trip. Our engine generates complete logs adhering to these requirements, correctly separating deductible business miles from non-deductible personal commutes. However, you are solely responsible for ensuring the final submitted data accurately reflects your business usage.

Is this a subscription software?

No. We believe desktop software should be owned, not rented. You pay a one-time fee for a lifetime license. There are no recurring monthly or annual charges.

Does it work on Mac?

Currently, the executable is optimized and compiled for Windows. However, a native macOS version is in active development and will be released very soon.
